End of Summer

Summer was non-existent this year but nothing was stopping me from being as bright as possible.  This summer I really taught myself how to reuse a lot of pieces from last year. I wanted to see how many ways I could change up the look of past outfits. One of the only times I shopped was during Summer sales!  That’s where I picked up this amazing gingham ruffled skirt and floral applique sweater.  I’ve realized I’ve worn these two pieces more in 3 weeks then most of the other items in my wardrobe. Whether it be lounging around on the weekend in a bold colored sweater or on Cityline in this exact outfit I knew I had found great pieces that I would actually wear.…

New Neighbourhood

When you move into a new neighbourhood, you’re always worried if you’ll get along with your neighbours. Just like the saying “You can pick you friends, but not your neighbours”.  We had been to a few meetings where we saw people, but me being somewhat of a shy person at first, I didn’t want to talk to anyone and I would leave right away (they all probably thought ‘SNOB’). Pink Fiesta

Hey loves! I’ve had the most relaxing week off. I backed off social media a little bit to focus on a little R&R.  I haven’t had a week off since last year and I really wanted to recharge and hang out with Tiago.  Even though it was just a staycation, and by staycation I literally mean we didn’t leave the neighbourhood, it was a lot of fun.  Sometimes you just need a week off like that to find yourself again. Crochet

Crochet…when I would hear this word I honestly think something out of my Avo’s {i.e. grandma} closet BUT crochet has become one of this seasons hottest trends to wear.  We’ve seen crochet rock the runways of Miu Miu, McQueen & Moschino, and it is totally boho chic, but also very sexy to wear.   I was happy when Toronto Designer, OTH Crochet Nook made this dream crop top for me.  This top is a core piece when packing for a tropical destination, since it’s made from tshirt material it can be worn to the beach and for an evening out, so double wammy! If you’re not comfortable wearing a crochet top or dress, try opting for a skirt or a piece of clothing with a crochet…

Wedding Planning 101

So over the past few months many of you have been messaging and asking me when is the big day? And the answer is…drumroll please…we haven’t set a date!  There is not a huge rush plus we want to make sure that both of us are on the same page with all the ideas and planning. The most stressful thing about diving in and booking venues and photographers and hair & make up is that as a couple you have no idea where to start! So here is my Wedding Planning 101 advise. While most of you opt to hire a wedding planner, I’ve decided to take on and do most of the planning on my own.  You’re all probably sitting there laughing, but the…
