Sequin Shorts & Fuchsia Lips

I bought these sequin shorts from Zara a few years back when I was living in Lisbon, and never really had a chance to wear them that often! Today was the day, pairing it with this light white and grey striped sweater from Joe Fresh was a perfect way to blend in the greys, whites and blacks!  I love how the shorts are loose fitting, and almost bubble at the bottom, to give that somewhat casual look.  And just so I wasn’t too dull in the color palette, the fuchsia clutch and lips added that extra pop to the outfit!

Monday’s ‘Spice’ Route – Black and Ivory

After a much relaxing weekend in my sweatpants, I decided that today I had to spice things up by wearing a sequin ivory colored top and black shorts. Still causal but yet sophisticated. Accessories were kept to a minimum, the shell necklace, which was designed by my mom about 18 years ago, and my new clutch from The Lull, added the extra ‘spice’ to the outfit! I bought these Jessica Simpson pumps a few years back, and found them laying around the shoe section of my closet, it was almost as if they were calling me to take them out for a spin! It’s funny what you can find in your closet when you’re not even looking for it! I’m excited I’ve brought these shoes…

Born to Be Bright and Wild!

Today I decided to be bright, wild & comfy all in one!  One of my favorite pieces of the summer are these loose fitting animal print shorts I got at H&M.  I pondered for awhile on if I should purchase them, as I have the same style in various prints, but I envisioned so many ways to wear these shorts that it was a must to buy! Pairing them with this fuchsia top from Zara I bought while in Lisbon, and nude colored wedges, completes the outfit! The final touches are the gold and turquoise earrings, which I bought at a fair in Portugal several years ago, and the jaguar ring from Forever 21!

Shells & Lace – Summer Outfits

Is it just me or is the humidity here in Toronto just out of control? Outfits this time of year can’t be too constraining, which is why I decided to wear these loose fitting lace shorts and a punchy orange top, to avoid everything sticking to me!  I did find the shell necklace to be a great accent accessory, and when you’re going to walk downtown in this heat, be sure to wear comfy shoes, nothing is worse than blisters, which is why I chose these extra comfy wedges!
