Castle Walls

If these castle walls could talk I could just imagine the type of stories they would tell.

When we went to Portugal we didn’t do much sightseeing because we really wanted to be focused on spending time with our family and friends.  However, there is one place that we can never miss a trip to, and that’s Obidos.  A castle with a town inside.  It’s like a time warp to the medieval times and you forget where you are.  It’s romantic just to be there hand in hand walking the cobblestone streets.  It’s even more romantic when you think that this is where Tiago and I have to come to register our marriage!

When strolling cobblestone streets you want to make sure you’re comfortable but stylish because common everyone in Europe is extremely stylish!  I opted to wear girlfriend jeans for most of the time I was there.   I am beginning to fall more and more in love with the looser fitting jeans.  It elevates an outfit from ordinary to street style trendy, like these ones from Garage.  Not sure of the girlfriend jeans, then try a pair of leather leggings from Dynamite.  They can get you from day to night and can be simply worn with a cozy knit sweater and ankle booties to give you an elevated look.

Regardless on which bottom you go for, you’ll want to make sure that you’re comfortable in what your wearing.  Most of the days I was out until the evening so layering was key!  I decided to forgo so many pairs of heeled boots and stuck to mainly flats as I knew I would be walking around a lot!
