Cityline: Wedding Guest Attire

Hey Babes! Tis the season of Weddings, and today Tracy and I chatted on Cityline about what to wear to a wedding depending on location!  I gave tips on how to quickly change the look of a dress if you have more than one wedding to attend this season. But the major tip was never to outshine the bride on her big day!

1. Dresses: Narces & Le Chateau
Depending on where the wedding is, you want to make sure you are dressed accordingly {obviously wearing something more casual to a backyard / barn wedding, something a little more beach friendly for those heading down south, and of course something a little more formal if you’re going to a traditional ceremony.
Le Chateau offers perfect destination/backyard wedding outfits – take this crochet style dress in tangerine orange. Great thing about this dress is it’s travel friendly since it doesn’t wrinkle! Looking for something for a backyard style wedding, try opting for a pencil skirt or slacks depending on the weather.
Looking for dresses that are perfect for a traditional ceremony? Canadian designer Narces is your go to spot! Her bold prints like this lip one are perfect for the big day of love!  I did mention not to wear white, however the white lip dress I featured is a perfect spin for the day of love.
** If you want to wear a white dress try opting for something a little creamier. And don’t be afraid of a Little Black Dress, if you have more than one wedding to attend this season, a LBD could become your best date to all the weddings! Just switch up the accessories and shoes and Voila you’re good to go!

My comfortable pumps were from Stuart Weitzman, and YES I did jog on the spot to prove how comfortable they actually are!
Shoes are a key factor in comfort! If you’re at a beach wedding and you know you’re going to be walking through the sand, make sure you’re not in stilettos – opt for a cute flat or espadrille like the ones from Aldo, you can however opt for a chunkier heel or wedge, which is a little more casual for the after party and you’ll know that you will be able to dance all night long!
For a more formal, you know you’ll spend a lot of time on your feet, so comfort is key which is why I highly recommend Stuart Weitzman for shoes.  These babies will have you walking and dancing miles! My favourites have to be the fringe or the lace up (like the ones I wore) they’re sexy yet functional and you’ll be able to get tons of wear out of them in the future!

3. Accessories: Jewelry is from Cocoa Jewelry & Clutches are Aldo
As I keep saying over and over again, accessories are the frosting to any outfit. They will take an ordinary dress and transform it into a perfect wedding outfit!
If you’re at the beach, try opting for something like a scarf, you’ll be able to drape it over your shoulders for any cooler temps you may encounter
Happy Wedding Season! ~Love C X
