Toronto’s Most Eligible Bachelors/Bachelorettes – Love4aCure

Hey Babes! So much exciting news! On Thursday February 6, 2014 Toronto’s Most Eligible Bachelors & Bachelorettes will be auctioned off for the Love4aCure event.  Love4aCure is a non-profit organization, focused on raising funds for various Canadian charities, by hosting exclusive events in Toronto! This year, they have chosen to partner with the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation and I am very excited to attend this black tie gala with my partner in crime! If you’d like to attend, and bid on a hottie then make sure you purchase your ticket here!

Last week, I was lucky enough to interview 2 hotties, Chris & Joann. Read what they had to say!

TSM: What made you decide to participate in the Love 4 A Cure?
CS: I was approached by a co-worker who has been involved for a couple of years now with Tamanna & Tamara, and it’s funny because I’ve actually been invited to two this month, and I’ve never been inviting to anything like this in my life! The Love 4 A Cure was the first one that was offered and I’ve heard nothing but great things about the  event.  I love doing things for the first time, and it’s not always up everybody’s ally to participate in auctioning off yourself for a great cause, but I always love to try everything

TSM: What’s your biggest fear about this process?
CS: You obviously don’t want to get the lowest bid, and that you only get someone to raise their hand once.

TSM: How do the dates work?
CS: There are pre determined dates, and they pick the right date depending on the bachelor/bachelorette. I have no clue what I am doing, but I could dream for a trip to Thailand, a dinner and a Leafs game, or skydiving!

TSM: Would you consider going on a second date with the person?
CS: Absolutely! If I have a connection with them then why not?

TSM: Unless it was an old man….
CS: Yes unless he had a younger daughter!

TSM: I see in your bio that you say that anywhere where they don’t wear winter jackets is your ideal place to live, but where exactly is that?
CS: My favourite trip is all over South East Asia.  I left for about 8 months and backpacked throughout. It’s a very unique place in the sense that you don’t have your typical all inclusive resorts. Those islands are just something else, Thailand is just super incredible! The best thing about there is that everything is very close and there is nothing that is comparable to that in this world. Hopefully my date is somewhere in Thailand!

TSM: The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation means a lot to me, what does it mean for you?
CS: I have definitely been affected by cancer, and this is a great way for everyone to gain awareness.  It always feels nice to help out by doing such a small thing like the Love4ACure event. It’s a feel good story, and everyone loves that.

TSM: If you’re single next year are you going to do it again?
CS: HAHA well I need to see how it goes first, but whatever I can do to help them out then I’ll do it! I didn’t even think twice about doing this event, and I didn’t really know what it was, but so far I am very pleased with how it is running and how organized it is and I am really looking forward to it!

TSM: What made you decide to participate in the Bachelorette Auction?
JH: I once read a quote that said, “do one thing a day that scares you.”  While I do not think i am capable of doing that everyday, I do think it is important to challenge yourself in new ways as the situations present themselves.  Typically I work behind the scene on event co-ordination and administration.  I have never before put myself out there like this and I think I wanted to challenge myself in a new way this time around.

TSM: Have you participated in this event before? Or something similar? If so, how was your previous experience.
JH: I have never participated in an event like this.   I have worked on a number of other great events in Toronto but have never been part of a bachelorette auction.

TSM: What are your fears about the auction?
JH: At this point i am a little nervous to go up on stage.  Although I think on the night of the event I will be more excited! The event supports such a great cause that I’ll need to put fears aside and give it my best!

TSM: What’s your personal fashion style?
JH: I absolutely love fashion – in fact I used to work in the industry.  I think my personal style is ever changing. If I were to sum it up I would say my style is both feminine and edging at times.  I absolutely love a really sexy pair of black leather boots while also love a pretty lace top or dress.

TSM: Who is your fashion icon?

JH: Kate Moss – no question.

TSM:  Do you already know what you’re wearing for the event? If so, can you give us a hint on the colour/style?
JH: I definitely know what I am wearing.  The event is only a week away!!  Think sparkles, think strappy and maybe a little bit sexy!!
