Peniche Nightlife

One of the things that I miss is Peniche’s nightlife, knowing you can go to a coffee shop or bar and have people around you is a great! My favorite place is Java House! Located in the bustling bar/restaurant district off the Marina in the beautiful coastal town of Peniche, Java House is a unique coffee bar & lounge which exudes comfort. A wood-floor living room atmosphere, furnished with sofas and chairs, and an exposed stone wall which adds a touch of warmth to the room. An intimate, cozy place to pass your morning or afternoon sipping on tasty java drinks. Offering a wide selection of coffees and teas, as well as specialty smoothies, frappes, crepes, and sandwiches made to order. Fresh bread and pastries…

My Favorite Things

Unpacking has really become a chore, I always ask myself why I pack so much to go away on holidays, it must be my fear of forgetting something! A Princess in Óbidos – Portugal

Óbidos is located about 15 minutes from Peniche, and is one of the most beautiful castles in the area.  Walking the streets and castle walls, any girl will feel like a princess!  Could you imagine if you were one of the 3,000 people living in Óbidos? How many could say they live in a castle? Oh the dreams I have! With it’s well-preserved medieval architecture & cobble stone streets Óbidos is a hot tourist destination.

Lisboa – Baxia-Chiado & Belem

The past few weeks I was in Portugal, mainly in Peniche but I did do some traveling to surrounding areas.  This obviously wasn’t my first time there. I have been going to Portugal since I was a little girl, as my family is from there, and I was living there for the past 2 years.  Lisbon is one of my favorite cities in Portugal. Belem is where you’ll get the best Pastries in the WORLD! Made fresh and handed to you warm there is no holding back when it comes to ordering a dozen and eating just about all of them!
