Our Engagement Photos

Sharing our engagement photos makes me so happy!  Over the past couple of months I have been sharing a few sneak peeks of our engagement photos on Instagram. For those who don’t know, Fotolux is our photographer for our wedding, and we couldn’t be more happy!   We knew that taking them in Portugal was important to us, since that is where Tiago & I met.  Winters in Peniche aren’t always the best weather so it was stressful knowing exactly which day wouldn’t be a rainy one.  When scouting out spots to shoot, we knew we wanted to have places like where we first met, the beach we frequently went to, and to the area that brought life to our relationship.  One thing is for sure,…

Basic Neutrals

Hey babes! It’s time basic neturals come out to play.  Can I ask you all where is the Spring?  I mean we’ve had some warm temperatures where I literally became excited to set up my rooftop patio, but then it got oh so cold again. These days finding the perfect outfit, whether it be color wise or even temperature wise for the bitter cold mornings and warmer afternoons can be difficult.  For me, I always turn to my camel coat. I have received numerous compliments on this coat because of its neutral colour.  It pairs so nicely with everything and can be dressed up or dressed down.  It’s warm enough to get me through the morning commute, but it also helps me transition into the…

Karl

Karl … Karl Lagerfeld is probably one of the most recognized fashion icons out there, which is why a graphic tee with his portrait on it is perfect for any fashionista! I realize that 2018 hasn’t been off to the greatest start in my blogging world. I’ve been slacking in posts and attending social events. However, as most of you know I am trying to plan my wedding, work full-time and now attend kickboxing classes 2-3 times a week.  I have learned that saying no is ok, that not attending the events I should be attending is ok, because the events happening in my life are simply enough for me to handle right now. I read a quote from Karl and it really intrigued me…

Fanny Pack

The fanny pack has made a major comeback and you’re starting to see every street style blogger rocking them. The 90s tourist bag is now hitting the S/S 2018 runways and making a complete revival known as the belt bag!   I see why back in the day the fanny pack was portrayed as a ‘tourist bag’ as it leaves your hands free to shop, browse and of course snap photos! Recently I’ve been tired of lugging around a heavy purse at the mall or even when I’m just going out with friends.  When traveling I have this constant fear someone is going to steal my stuff so by rocking the fanny back I know that everything is on me at all times. I can’t…

Castle Walls

If these castle walls could talk I could just imagine the type of stories they would tell. When we went to Portugal we didn’t do much sightseeing because we really wanted to be focused on spending time with our family and friends.  However, there is one place that we can never miss a trip to, and that’s Obidos.  A castle with a town inside.  It’s like a time warp to the medieval times and you forget where you are.  It’s romantic just to be there hand in hand walking the cobblestone streets.  It’s even more romantic when you think that this is where Tiago and I have to come to register our marriage! When strolling cobblestone streets you want to make sure you’re comfortable but…
